Earliest gaming memory?

Answer

I wasn’t allowed to play many games as a kid, so I lived in constant anticipation of going to my cousins’ house to play their PlayStation. I remember being amazed at the “incredible” graphics and the way a controller felt in my hands. The world of video games became a sacred place for me.

What was the game that triggered you looking at games as a career?

Answer

I think Skyrim was what drove me to leave my film career and pursue games instead. The sheer size of Skyrim and the ability to do pretty much whatever for hundreds of hours on end showed me just how limitless video games can be. I wanted to explore storytelling on that scale.

What did you study at School or Uni that you feel was valuable for a career in games?

Answer

I studied film production, so while film and games are by no means twins, much of my studies in visual storytelling and design directly influence my game career.

What is the first game you worked on?

Answer

The first game I worked on was The Lost Legends of Redwall series, indie games based on Brian Jacques’ Redwall novels. It was my first job out of university and my first paid gig in games.

Games you’re the proudest to have worked on?

Answer

The games I am most proud of include NDA, NDA, and NDA. D’;

If you weren't making games?

Answer

I’d be working with animals. I’m fascinated by animal behaviour and discovering just how intelligent they are.

Top 3 games of all time?

Answer

#1 - Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess #2 - BioShock #3 - Baldur’s Gate 3 and What Remains of Edith Finch....although little Ren would like to add Zoo Tycoon 2 as well.

Hardest game boss?
