Rachel Senior

Hello! I’m Rachel and I’m a Senior Gameplay Animator here at Fuse Games. I’ve been working in the games industry as an Animator now for nearly 15 years and have been lucky enough to work in many of the Studios across the UK Including EA where I worked on Need For Speed Heat and Payback. Besides playing games, (I’m currently playing Final Fantasy 7 Remake). I Love to draw, do rather unconventional exercise like Arial Hoop. I’m also really into music and am currently trying to learn a bit of music production as a goal for myself this year. I have two British Shorthair cats Obi and Klaus, and anything Studio Ghibli, Pokemon and Disney I’m obsessed with!

Earliest gaming memory?

Playing Sonic the Hedgehog on the MegaDrive. I also remember renting out Megadrive games from Blockbuster and trying to complete them before they had to be retuned!

What was the game that triggered you looking at games as a career?

Answer

I loved to play Tombraider 1 and 2 and became so interested in how they were made especially the animations. Because it was made in the UK it was the first game to make me think that maybe making games was a career!

What did you study at School or Uni that you feel was valuable for a career in games?

A lot of Art! But I think Media studies was also really helpful.

I’ve always wanted to be a DJ, Or run an animal rescue center… or be a Pilot. I think I chose my current career well…

MegaDrive games were so tough to beat! I remember struggling for so long to beat The Lion King game on the Megadrive!
