As a child I remember playing an LCD handheld game called ‘caveman’ where you had to steal eggs from a dinosaur!

Q

What was the game that triggered you looking at games as a career?

Q

What did you study at School or Uni that you feel was valuable for a career in games?

Answer
At school i did A-Levels in Computer Studies, Art and DT. The traditonal grounding in Art and Design principles have helped all through my career as an artist and also Producer - however it was my work experience time which I think helped prepare me most for the real world. Getting out in the 'real world', meeting different types of people and getting a basic understanding of work palces was invaluable.

Q

Game that has inspired you the most?

Answer
The original Lucasarts point and click games like Money Island and Day of the tentacle are still inspiring, they create wonderful and inviting worlds and are presented with a very ‘player first’ view. They don’t punish the player for exploring or trying things, you can’t die, it’s all about enjoying the world and characters.
