What was the game that triggered you looking at games as a career?
Answer
There wasn’t really one, it was something I started doing as a hobby as a child writing text adventures in BASIC.

What did you study at School or Uni that you feel was valuable for a career in games?
Answer
I studIed Computer Systems Engineering at uni which covered software engineering (including things like computer graphics and neural networks), hardware design (digital and analogue electronics, processor design and systems) and a bunch of engineering maths. This has been really useful when trying to understand what's happening in the machine, particularly when the console hardware was more novel.
