Hi, I’m Anna! I grew up playing Pokémon games on my very well-loved Game Boy Colour, then I got a Nintendo Game Cube, then a PlayStation… and have been an avid gamer ever since. I never thought that I’d be able to actually work in the games industry- but I’m so so grateful and happy to be in it every single day. Outside of games, I love general nerd culture- my favourite films are from Studio Ghibli, but also span multiple genres like Lord of the Rings to cult classics like Rocky Horror Picture Show. If I feel like I can escape into another world- I’m all over it. I also play Dungeons and Dragons with my friends, and love regularly seeing live music.

What did you study at School or Uni that you feel was valuable for a career in games?

Answer

I studied English Literature which was really valuable for learning the importance of language and clear communication.

Game that has inspired you the most?

Answer

It’s really hard to choose one- there are so many games that are just incredible feats of art. I would have to say Assassin’s Creed 2, as it’s the game that truly got me into gaming. The story, world building, characters and mechanics are all so immersive, intriguing - and fun!

If you weren’t making games?

I think I’d work for a non-profit with animals like a Cats and Dogs home!
