Adrian Yanguas Munoz

I love to destroy things and set them on fire (only in games), I am a Houdini fanboy. Some people would say that I am competitive person, but I love to do team sports as much as individual ones (tennis the most), play boardgames and videogames. I truly enjoy movies and I recently went to a film festival in Spain and the experience was amazing. I think my friends will say that I am sociable person who likes to talk a lot, so meeting with them, relaxes me. Spent time with my partner cooking or doing some sport, recently climbing. Play some D&D that I have started with a group of friends in the last months, it also helps.

Q

Earliest gaming memory?

Answer
I am between Mario Bros from the Nintendo64 or Pokémon Blue on the Gameboy Color.2.

Q

What was the game that triggered you looking at games as a career?

Answer
I loved games since I was a kid, but there was none that made me want to actual work on them, it was more situational, in my head at the time, it was not a proper job that you could make a career from. Life put me on the path by making me want to do VFX, always having the thought about games in the back of my head and when covid happened and the film industry was in a bad position I had to reinvent myself and self learnt Unreal and combine it with Houdini.

Q

What did you study at School or Uni that you feel was valuable for a career in games?

Answer
Since I have studied architecture, Industrial Product design and VFX for cinema, I learnt a bit from everywhere, the most useful part was Houdini that was what linked my studies to Games in Unreal, but I learnt a lot from Product design and trying to put myself on the Users place and iterate in something new but useful for the users.
