Not sure what makes me tick but I adore my dogs, walking beside the sea, spending time with my wife and daughter – whether its cuddles, walks, reading or being silly. I like to treat each and every day as an adventure and enjoy finding joy in the little things. I try to put the same sense of adventure into the games I make, with the teams that I work with and feel very humbled to live out my dream of working on videogames every day.

Q

Earliest Gaming Memory

Answer
Being really scared of a game where a blue werewolf chased me in a dark cave. 2d style adventure… I have no idea what the game was called or what it was on… I just remember it scared me a lot!

Q

What was the game that triggered you looking at games as a career?

Answer
Fable – the original Fable game. So much joy and wonder, with an amazing sense of humour! I was determined to one day work on a Fable game – no matter what it took. And I did! Since then I believe strongly in following your dreams.

Q

What's the game that has inspired you the most?

Answer
Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time It was the first game that made me want to understand how it was created as I had never experienced anything like it. Not just what I was seeing on screen, or the game experience – but how it made me feel.

Q

What was the first game you worked on?

Answer
Fable 3

Q

What games are you proudest of working on?

Answer
All of the Fable games! Also very proud to have helped kickstart and inspire the Fable Anniversary game with a small bunch of talented peeps. I’m also very proud of Firestorm, considering all constraints. Still pop into that world from time to time

Q

If you weren't making games?

Answer
I would likely work with animals, maybe on a farm – or a dog walker. Something calming and outdoors with no customers to deal with.

Q

Top 3 Games

Answer
#1 - Ocarina of Time #2 - Limbo #3 - Metroid Prime

Q

Hardest Game Boss?

Answer
Honestly cannot think of one! Hmmmm Aha! The Yeti in Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess. Google it and you will see why (a very silly design in an otherwise excellent title)
