Assistant Producer

Sally

My name is Sally! I’ve worked in the games industry since 2021 starting out in Facilities/Workplace Support, learning the ropes on how studios are run, how games are made and what the different teams need to make the best product. I’ve been given the opportunity to join the development team in Production and I’m so excited to get started. What makes me tick – learning new things, being creative & making a difference. I think this is why I enjoyed working in Operations so much for the last 4 years as no day was the same, I was constantly coming up with ideas to make the games devs lives easier or the studio more fun! I’m passionate about a number of things; games, music, my cat, weight training.. These are also things that help me to relax! Playing games with my better half, listening to records, cuddling the cat or absolutely smashing personal bests with my personal trainer.

_favourite Game

This changes all the time but it’s currently Dave the Diver

_favourite BOOK

Not much of a reader at the moment, I like dark fantasy though! I think I need some recommendations!

_Currently learning

I’m learning how to play the Ukulele and gardening skills as I’ve recently moved into a house with a tiny garden.

Q

Earliest gaming memory?

Answer
My earliest gaming memory is sitting watching my brothers play micromachines on a tiny 10” TV. I was always on the sidelines watching them play.. look who works in game dev now!

Q

What was the game that triggered you looking at games as a career?

Answer
Fable was probably the game that made me really wonder how games were made.

Q

What did you study at School or Uni that you feel was valuable for a career in games?

Answer
I didn’t study anything related to game development at School or College however, my studies in Performing Arts has given me confidence to just go for it which I think helped me during my time in Operations & hopefully now in Production

Answer
Again, I’ve not directly worked on a game yet however during my time at Supermassive, we launched ‘The Casting of Frank Stone’ and will be releasing ‘Directive 8020’ & ‘Little Nightmares 3’ in October. I’m in awe of the hard work that’s gone into those games and cannot wait to get stuck in with the team at Fuse to create something awesome.
