Born and raised in Strasbourg, close to Germany (not in Germany) – it took me a long time to figure out what I wanted to do with my life before I joined games. Ultimately, I just want to have fun and this is exactly what has been happening for the last 4 years in games after 7 years in advertising. I love to eat which means that I love to cook and my weekends are mostly spent in the kitchen with music. I love to read which comes with the classic curse of “buying too many books”. Can’t really say that I have passions, but many interests here and there and mostly interests in music, books, games, food, unexpected things (don’t ask me what they are – I know when they appear) and creativity in general. What I do to relax is quite common, going for a walk in search for a nice coffee, anywhere! I also try to learn new things, things I don’t master, sometimes things I wish I knew, things that sometimes feel frustrating to not get/understand – and the drama of my life is that I can’t master everything.

_favourite Game

Probably Metal Gear Solid 2/3 – definitely my childhood!

_favourite BOOK

Watchmen, always – got several copies of it, in various editions and I usually read it once a year.

_Currently learning

Plenty of things, to plug on several side projects I have, I’d go with Coding, but ChatGPT has my back most of the time

Q

Earliest gaming memory?

Answer
Probably Goldeneye. I can still see myself opening the Christmas present, revealing the N64 and Goldeneye inside. Couple of months later, Metal Gear Solid would be announced and I’d have regrets that my parents got me a N64 and not a PS

Q

What was the game that triggered you looking at games as a career?

Answer
Max Payne. Not that it triggered the idea of a career, but it was definitely the first game that pointed out for me that games could be an art, could be something more than something “fun” as a kid. The same feeling happened with the first Assassin’s Creed and its story.

Q

What did you study at School or Uni that you feel was valuable for a career in games?

Answer
I’ve studied Advertising and Communications. And I think that the most valuable thing I’ve learnt was in Advertising : learning that I’ve been raised by “sharks” when I’m actually a “goldfish”. I value people, their qualities and their flaws, their inputs and their time.

Q

Game that has inspired you the most?

Answer
This is a tricky question for me to answer. So I’ll list games that made me feel something different: Journey, The Last Of Us 2, The Last Guardian, Metal Gear Solid 2, Zelda BotW, Max Payne

Q

What was the first game you worked on?

Answer
First game was As Dusk Falls

Q

Games you’re the proudest to have worked on?

Answer
My career in games has been quite short, so I can’t pick one, each experience has been a blast and taught me a lot of things – so, As Dusk Falls and Star Wars Outlaws so far were amazing to work on and I’ve learnt a lot.

Q

If you weren't making games...

Answer
I have no idea – at all! Already been through advertising, I don’t think I’d be interested in doing something else. I thought about cooking and realised it was proper hell to run a restaurant.

Q

Top 3 games of all time?

Answer
#1 - Dark Souls 3 #2 - Metal Gear Solid 2 #3 - GTA San Andreas

Q

Hardest game boss?

Answer
Any boss from Deus Ex: Mankind Divided.
